HVAC Power Mechanic / Electrical (Service Technician III or IV) – Bolton, ON

TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a confidential client for an experienced HVAC Power Mechanic / Electrical Service Technician to join its Power and HVAC division. Based in Bolton, Ontario, this role supports customers across the GTA and surrounding areas and offers the opportunity to work with a world-class equipment rental organization while maintaining client confidentiality until further discussion.

This position is highly technical and field-focused, centered on the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of complex power and HVAC equipment. A critical emphasis is placed on generator systems, including advanced paralleling, synchronization, and electrical distribution. Technicians operate with a high degree of independence, delivering safe, professional service while providing strong customer support. High-performing technicians will have clear pathways to advance into senior or leadership roles within the service organization.

The ideal candidate is a Level 3 or Level 4 technician with strong generator expertise. Exceptional Level 2 candidates who are nearing Level 3 and demonstrate advanced generator paralleling knowledge, strong technical ability, and a professional, team-oriented attitude will also be considered.

Key responsibilities include performing complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, diesel, and HVAC repairs using schematics and diagnostic tools; independently troubleshooting and field-repairing equipment; completing site-based service work; mentoring junior technicians; maintaining accurate electronic work orders; and supporting equipment logistics as required.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and a minimum of five years of experience maintaining and repairing power or HVAC equipment in a shop or field environment. Journeyman Electrical certification and/or Heavy Duty Mechanic experience is strongly preferred. Expert-level knowledge of generators and paralleling systems is essential, including engines, breakers, synchronization, load sharing, and electrical connections. Experience with chillers, air conditioning systems, boilers, pumps, dehumidifiers, and electrical distribution equipment is required. Candidates must supply their own tools and be able to lift up to 45 lbs.
