What you will do:
- Perform visual inspections of all chiller equipment and machines to identify leaks, unusual noises, vibrations, or abnormal operating conditions
- Ensure chemical treatment systems for chillers are operating correctly and free of alarms or issues
- Change chiller water filters and clean Y-strainers on chiller heat exchangers
- Service thermalator units
- Grease pumps, motors, and bearings throughout the facility
- Clean air compressor filters
- Add salt to the tower system as needed to reduce conductivity level.
- Change electrical panel filters on injection molding machines and extrusion equipment
- Perform minor repairs during PM inspections (e.g., replace leaking seals, O-rings, hoses, etc.)
- Organize and ensure cleanliness of the spare parts room
- Check for safety concerns across the facility and report any hazards identified
- Maintain general housekeeping in maintenance areas
The right candidate will have/be:
Education: Post Secondary education or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
- Able to read and understand schematics /Capable to learn how to read schematics
- Capable of lifting up to 50lbs as applicable.
- Self-starter and able to work in an extremely fast paced environment.
- Must have own tools.
- Able to work with minimal supervision and take directions.
- Able to work in non-climate controlled conditions.
- Must be flexible to work overtime and possibly other shifts when required based on breakdowns, vacations, etc.
