What you will do:

• Perform visual inspections of all chiller equipment and machines to identify leaks, unusual noises, vibrations, or abnormal operating conditions
• Ensure chemical treatment systems for chillers are operating correctly and free of alarms or issues
• Change chiller water filters and clean Y-strainers on chiller heat exchangers
• Service thermalator units
• Grease pumps, motors, and bearings throughout the facility
• Clean air compressor filters
• Add salt to the tower system as needed to reduce conductivity level.
• Change electrical panel filters on injection molding machines and extrusion equipment
• Perform minor repairs during PM inspections (e.g., replace leaking seals, O-rings, hoses, etc.)
• Organize and ensure cleanliness of the spare parts room
• Check for safety concerns across the facility and report any hazards identified
• Maintain general housekeeping in maintenance areas

The right candidate will have/be:

Education: Post Secondary education or equivalent.

• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Able to read and understand schematics /Capable to learn how to read schematics
• Capable of lifting up to 50lbs as applicable.
• Self-starter and able to work in an extremely fast paced environment.
• Must have own tools.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and take directions.
• Able to work in non-climate controlled conditions.
• Must be flexible to work overtime and possibly other shifts when required based on breakdowns, vacations, etc.
