The Role


We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Production Control Analyst to join our automotive team. This role will define, deploy, and scale autonomous mobile robots (AMR) within Oakville Assembly Complex. You will work cross-functionally within the Material Planning and Logistics (MP&L) department to support modernization of in-plant logistics, increase safety, improve quality, and enable Best-in-World manufacturing performance. Responsibilities



  • Manage / Monitor AMR fleet management system.

  • Troubleshoot system communication issues.

  • Investigate operational improvements with new technology.

  • Research, develop, and implement new technology in the AMR realm to optimize material flow.

  • Work with SMART SMF Coordinator to ensure proper system setup.

  • Audit AMR performance.

  • Work in conjunction with IT to ensure fluid communication on the shop floor between various technologies and Ford Systems.

  • Drive continuous improvement activities to enhance AMR throughput, uptime, fleet behavior, and system robustness.


Qualifications


You'll have...



  • Bachelors degree in engineering technology, mechatronics, computer science, or a related field

  • 2 years of experience working in automation or robotics systems in a manufacturing environment

  • 2 years of experience with PLC controls, industrial robotics, AMR/AGV platforms or virtual commissioning tools

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail

  • Understanding of safety, quality, and regulatory standards related to AMR/AGV technologies

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite


Additional Information


This posting is for an existing vacancy within our team. The expected annual salary range for this position is $85,000 - $135,000 and individuals may be eligible to participate in our Annual Compensation bonus program.
