The Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Production Control Analyst to join our dynamic automotive team. This position will play a key role in defining, deploying and scaling autonomous mobile robots (AMR) within Oakville Assembly Complex. The role works cross-functionally within the Material Planning and Logistics (MP&L) department to support modernization of in-plant logistics, increase safety, improve quality and enable Best-in-World manufacturing performance. Responsibilities

  • Manage / Monitor AMR fleet management system.
  • Troubleshoot system communication issues.
  • Investigate operational improvements with new technology.
  • Research, develop, implement new technology in the AMR realm to optimize material flow.
  • Work with SMART SMF Coordinator to ensure proper system setup.
  • Audit AMR performance.
  • Work in conjunction with IT to help ensure communication on the shop floor between various technologies is fluent through Ford Systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities to enhance AMR throughput, uptime, fleet behavior, and system robustness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in engineering technology, mechatronics, computer science, or a related field
  • 2 years of experience working in automation or robotics systems in a manufacturing environment
  • 2 years of experience with PLC controls, industrial robotics, AMR/AGV platforms or virtual commissioning tools.

  • Understanding of safety, quality, and regulatory standards related to AMR/AGV technologies
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.

The expected annual salary range for this position is $85,000- $135,000 and individuals may be eligible to participate in our Annual Compensation bonus program.
