You plan, implement and manage the pre-construction of new homes, in keeping with high standards for quality, service, and value.</p><p>Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:</p><ul><li>Providing expertise to feasibility analysis of proposed house plans including buildability, economics, and market appeal.</li><li>Assisting in the selection of sub-contractors and material suppliers. Ensuring trades conform to contract terms and negotiate changes in scope or budget when necessary.</li><li>Developing budget schedule, dependencies, and sequences. Monitoring and maintaining construction budget.</li><li>Coordinating and/or preparing cost estimates for each home, and obtaining building permits.</li><li>Overseeing drafting, engineering, design and permitting of homes.</li><li>Addressing and resolving concerns from internal staff, external trades and customers.</li><li>Conducting sunset reviews upon project completion to identify opportunities for future improvements.</li><li>Promoting a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with Qualico's Safety Program and relevant safety regulations.</li></ul><p>As our ideal candidate, you are…</p><ul><li>A strong communicator; you clearly express your thoughts in conversation as well as write and present in a persuasive and influencing manner.</li><li>An active listener; you seek to understand and listen to others in a non-judgmental way.</li><li>A creative problem solver; you think outside the box for solutions without fear of failure.</li><li>A leader; you attract, retain, develop or improve the skills of others through effective coaching and guidance.</li></ul><p>Essential Requirements</p><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Architectural Technology, or equivalent.</li><li>Minimum 3 years of production management experience in residential construction.</li><li>Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.</li><li>Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.</li><li>Comfortable using office equipment, Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams SharePoint and PowerPoint).</li></ul><p>What We Value</p><ul><li>Creating trusting and successful working relationships.</li><li>Setting clear, measurable and achievable goals.</li><li>Cooperating with team members in an open, positive and respectful manner.</li><li>Staying current with technical job skills.</li><li>Consistently meeting customer expectations.</li><li>Taking responsibility for the outcomes of decisions and actions.</li></ul><p>Work Conditions</p><p>You primarily work in an office setting during regular business hours. Travel to sites is required on a frequent basis.
