Work Setup: Remote when not traveling
Compensation: $120,000–$140,000 (based on experience)

Position Summary

The Regional Sales Manager leads and develops an Outside Sales Team focused on driving growth within the region. This role ensures the team has the technical knowledge, selling skills, and strategic support needed to maintain existing business, expand key accounts, and secure new opportunities. The ideal candidate is a strong coach with proven success in territory management, relationship building, and driving profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve territory penetration, sales growth, and revenue goals by coaching and guiding the Outside Sales Team.

  • Identify market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs; contribute to business planning and implement strategic sales initiatives.

  • Provide clear and timely communication to leadership on account status, territory performance, market changes, and competitive insights.

  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key customers to foster trust and create new opportunities.

  • Develop a deep understanding of customer applications and distribution partners to protect existing business and support new product introductions.

  • Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and support team members' professional development.

  • Support company goals by gathering and communicating competitive intelligence.

  • Perform management responsibilities including hiring, termination, evaluations, and compensation recommendations.

  • Assist Sales Team members with customer interactions and strategic sales activities as needed.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and delivering presentations

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to solve day-to-day issues and prioritize effectively

  • Strong time management and territory planning abilities

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering highly desirable) or equivalent work experience

  • 10+ years of sales or marketing experience, ideally within linear motion products or related technology industries

  • 5+ years of progressive sales leadership or management experience
