<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>RQ09995 - Business Analyst - Senior</strong></p><p><strong>1 year and 4 months contract</strong></p><p><strong>ONSITE - Location options - 87 Sir William Hearst Ave., Toronto, Ontario M3M 0B4 </strong>or <strong>301 St. Paul Street, St. Catharines, Ontario L2R 7R4</strong></p><p><strong>1 Opening - 1 submission<br /></strong></p><p><strong>Labour and Transportation Cluster - Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement</strong></p><p>The Ministry is seeking the services of one (1) Business Analyst, Level 3, to work as part of the Project Management & Program Delivery project team in collaboration with the core project team, solution delivery vendor(s) and other stakeholders as required.</p><ul><li> Provide support during the design, implementation and testing phases of the project.</li><li> Report progress of assignment on a regular basis to Project Management, raise any issue and concerns and propose mitigation strategies.</li><li> Lead and/or participate in teams developing solutions within MTO&#39;s Transportation Safety (TS) Division.</li><li> Conduct feasibility analysis, project scoping and provide project work estimates.</li><li> Conduct Joint Requirements Planning and Joint Application Design sessions.</li><li> Analyze and map processes / data for current state and future state.</li><li> Requirements development involving requirements elicitation, elaboration, analysis, specification and validation.</li><li> Use of ministry mandated requirement management tools and templates for requirements</li><li> Review and feedback of technical design documents.</li><li> Conduct and/or participate in walkthroughs at each project milestone.</li><li> Knowledge transfer to TS and I&IT Cluster at all stages of the assignment.</li><li> Report status to, and follow overall direction from the Project Manager and/or Lead Business Analyst.</li></ul><p>The Deliverables include (but are not limited to):</p><ul><li> Business Cases and Request for Bids</li><li> Business requirements / rules</li><li> Business process models</li><li> System Requirements specifications</li><li> Business / Data Glossary</li><li> Business and System use cases</li><li> User epics, stories and themes / Product backlog and sprint plans</li><li> Data requirements / models (conceptual / logical)</li><li> Functional and Non-functional requirements</li><li> Requirements Traceability Matrices</li><li> User Interface specifications, low and high fidelity prototypes</li><li> Report specifications</li><li> Test plan/strategies, test cases</li><li> Risks and Issues</li><li> Status reports</li><li> Work plans, e.g. requirements management plan</li><li><span >Artefacts/documents</span> required for enterprise architecture development from a business needs point-of-view (contextual and conceptual), as required for the Architecture Governance Point review process</li><li> Other artefacts as determined by the project</li></ul><p>Support to Development and Test teams in following areas (but are not limited to):</p><p>· Building and testing support to development team</p><p>· Reviewing test strategy, test plan and cases</p><p>· Management of defect logs</p><p>· Testing Applications</p><p>· Supporting end-user inquiries</p><p>· Defining the integration test plan</p><p>· Defining the user acceptance test plan</p><p>· Identification and resolution of problems/issues</p><p>· Document and manage risks and liaise with other project teams to coordinate project interdependencies.</p><p>· Documentation of all artefacts in a shared project library.</p><p><strong>Must-have&#39;s:</strong></p><ul><li>Experience with engaging business and IT stakeholders, understand requirements for new functionality or changes to existing ones and providing high level and detailed estimates</li><li>Ability to write high quality business cases, working with corporate governance bodies and navigating approvals</li><li>Experience with documenting deliverables (Functional and Non-functional requirements, System Requirements Specifications, Business requirements / rules, Business Process Models, Data Requirements / Models (conceptual / logical), Risks and Issues, Business and System Use Cases, Requirements Traceability Matrices, Status Reports, Test Plan / Strategies, Test Cases etc.)</li><li>7 + years of experience</li></ul></p></p>
