  • Develop efficient inference services optimized for real-time or large-scale workloads.
  • Work with engineering teams to ensure smooth integration of AI features into production systems.
  • Build and maintain modular, reusable, and scalable AI service components.

3. Cloud Infrastructure & Deployment

  • Experience with AWS or Azure required (Alibaba Cloud a plus)
  • Deploying ML pipelines, training jobs, and inference systems using cloud-native tools.
  • Managing data storage, model hosting, and compute environments (GPU/CPU clusters).
  • Implementing cloud security, IAM, monitoring, and performance optimization.
  • Supporting CI/CD workflows for AI and backend systems.

4. Data Engineering & Pipeline Automation

  • Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for ingesting, cleaning, labelling, and transforming data.
  • Implement robust data validation and quality assurance processes.
  • Manage dataset versioning, experiment tracking, and reproducible ML workflows.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure scalable data and compute infrastructure.

  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in LLMs, multimodal models, agents, generative AI, and ML infrastructure.
  • Conduct experiments with new architectures, algorithms, and frameworks.
  • Build proof-of-concept prototypes and present findings to the engineering leadership.
  • Convert research outputs into production-ready features.

6. Tooling & Internal Automation

  • Create internal tools to streamline AI-driven workflows, testing, and developer productivity.
  • Implement automated evaluation frameworks for model quality, performance, and reliability.
  • Develop reusable libraries, templates, and utilities for the engineering team.

7. Documentation & Collaboration

  • Produce high-quality documentation for models, APIs, architectures, and deployments.
  • Work closely with product, design, engineering, and operations teams to gather requirements and translate AI concepts into deliverables.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and sprint planning.

8. Performance, Monitoring & Reliability

  • Implement model monitoring, logging, and anomaly detection for live AI features.
  • Address model drift, data inconsistencies, and service degradation proactively.
  • Ensure all AI systems adhere to privacy, compliance, and security standards.
  • Optimize cloud compute costs through tuning and architectural improvements.

9. Reporting & KPIs

  • Weekly reports covering model progress, experiments, data improvements, and integration updates.
  • Monthly reports summarizing AI deployments, performance benchmarks, cloud cost metrics, and R&D advancements.
