Job Description

Position Overview


LSP Canada is seeking a Senior Tax Associate for our London Windsor or Niagara Falls offices. In this role, you will work closely with our tax professionals to provide high-quality tax compliance and planning services to individuals, families, and businesses across Ontario.


This role is ideal for candidates with experience in Canadian tax preparation, CRA compliance, and client-facing operations, especially during peak tax season.


Key Responsibilities



  • Prepare, review, and file personal (T1), corporate (T2), and trust tax returns.

  • Assist with GST/HST and other indirect tax compliance.

  • Conduct tax research and apply Canadian tax legislation to client cases.

  • Support tax planning and strategy recommendations to optimize client tax positions.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of client filings.

  • Communicate with clients to collect documentation, answer questions, and provide guidance.

  • Mentor junior staff and support team workflows as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with CRA regulations and internal quality standards.


Qualifications & Skills



  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • Minimum 3+ years of Canadian tax experience (public accounting, tax advisory, or corporate).

  • CPA designation (completed or in progress) preferred.

  • Strong understanding of Canadian tax laws and CRA compliance.

  • Proficiency with Canadian tax software (ProFile, Profile, Taxprep, or similar).

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines during peak tax season.


Additional Requirements



  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.

  • Availability during peak Canadian tax season (February–April).

  • Ability to work on-site in London, Windsor or Niagara Falls, Ontario.
