<h3>Overview</h3><p><b>Senior Transportation Design Engineer/Technologist</b> role at <b>EXP</b> – locations: Brampton, London, Cambridge, Hamilton, Markham or Barrie, ON.</p><h3>Your Work Environment at EXP</h3><p>This opportunity offers a full-time career-oriented position with our growing and dynamic team of transportation professionals. We are seeking a Senior Transportation Design Engineer/Technologist to build our traffic and transportation team from a design perspective and to advance their career within EXP.</p><h3>Your Role & Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Coordinate the planning, design, and construction management of a wide range of urban and rural transportation projects including new roadway alignments, interchanges, roundabouts, traffic signals, signalized/unsignalized intersections, and active transportation infrastructure.</li><li>Perform detailed design work and inspection work of street lighting and traffic signals (temporary and permanent) for municipal and/or provincial design projects.</li><li>Prepare construction specifications, drawings, and tender documents.</li><li>Manage project budgets and schedules.</li><li>Identify efficient project execution methods and associated resourcing needs.</li><li>Engage with a variety of stakeholders including owners, contractors, sub-consultants, operations staff, utilities, businesses, and the public.</li><li>Coach, mentor, and develop junior staff.</li><li>Foster a safe and inclusive working culture.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications & Experience</h3><ul><li>Degree/Diploma in Transportation Engineering and/or Civil Engineering.</li><li>8+ years of related experience specializing in Traffic/Transportation design that may include roadway alignments, interchanges, roundabouts, traffic signals, signalized/unsignalized intersections and active transportation infrastructure.</li><li>L.E.T./P. Eng. designation with PEO or C.E.T. designation with OACETT is required.</li><li>In-depth knowledge of applicable standards, guidelines, and best practices.</li><li>Proven ability to learn and adapt software, such as transportation modeling, GIS, AutoCAD and innovative new applications.</li><li>Experience determining Transportation Demand Management elements and assessing/improving active transportation facilities.</li><li>Strong project management skills.</li><li>Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD.</li><li>Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.</li><li>Strong leadership, communication and team-building skills.</li><li>Excellent written and oral communication.</li><li>Attention to detail.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to perform individually or as a member of project teams.</li><li>Effective time management skills with the ability to manage concurrent projects, proposals and/or priorities.</li><li>ITE Canada membership desired.</li><li>Valid Ontario driver’s license (minimum G2).</li></ul><h3>DEI and Accessibility</h3><p>EXP subscribes to the Workplace Equity Program.
