An established engineering consultancy with a strong presence across Ontario is seeking a Project Manager to join their growing Transportation team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys leading design projects, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to municipal and infrastructure work.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a range of transportation engineering projects and, for those based in Guelph or Ottawa, helping to further develop the firm’s presence in these local markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage multidisciplinary transportation design projects, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, and budget
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and oversight to junior engineers and designers
  • Coordinate work with internal teams, subconsultants, and approval/utility authorities
  • Oversee quality reviews and ensure adherence to applicable standards
  • Prepare technical reports, proposals, budgets, and work plans
  • Engage directly with clients through meetings, project updates, and presentations
Typical Project Types:
  • Road and highway design (functional, preliminary, detailed)
  • Intersection design
  • Active transportation facilities
  • Traffic signal design
  • Class Environmental Assessments (experience in these areas is an asset but not required)
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in Ontario
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant transportation engineering experience
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to independently manage multiple projects
