Position Summary:
The Service Technician is responsible for addressing technical issues at client locations including repair work arising from post-installation and warranty-related issues. Reporting directly to the Service Manager, the Service Technician will work within a small team, the right candidate will be passionate about delivering high-quality work, with a "roll up your sleeves" kind of attitude.

This is a full-time position that requires strong detail-oriented, organization, and teamwork skills and someone who is well versed in glass line and production environments. The successful candidate will be disciplined, punctual, and a strong team player dedicated to generating an engaged and safe work environment.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Report onsite to client locations and investigate assigned service tickets or complete re-measures of newly signed contracts on a timely basis.
  • Provide excellent customer service; advise customers of issues and possible solutions while being courteous and kind Complete service call reports, order necessary stock supplies.
  • Complete window and door installation for small service jobs.
  • Complete re-measures of windows and doors based on sold contract.
  • Specify on the re-measure form if any additional equipment or material are required to complete the job.
  • Work closely with Order Desk, Production, and Purchasing teams to address and resolve questions/issues related to complex jobs.
  • Make appropriate deliveries or pickups for job sites.


Knowledge & Skill Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in residential or commercial Window and/or Door installation, or
  • Minimum of 3 years experience with trim (casings) work and framing in construction renovation projects or a related field.
  • Knowledge in adhering to all health & safety practices with a working knowledge of relevant Ministry of Labour requirements.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills with strength in negotiation.
  • Good professional English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to read/interpret drawings and architectural details.
  • Demonstrated record of reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
  • Possesses an Ontario G Class Driver License and excellent knowledge of the Central Ontario area.
  • Must pass a criminal record, driver's abstract, and reference background checks.
