We are a small Powder Coating, Ceramic Coating and Sandblasting shop in west Edmonton.  For the past 18 years we have taken pride in our growing customer base through our work and by word-of-mouth.  We are experienced in a wide range of batch coating applications from large service bodies to smaller automotive, motorcycle and off-road vehicle parts. We believe our customers are priority one!

 

There is currently a requirement for a Shop Labourer to support the powder coating and shop duties of the business.

 

The applicant will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

 

·         Review work orders to follow through with customer requirements

·         Preparation of customer parts, cleaning, taping, plugging, and sandblasting as required

·         Reviewing the preparation to ensure parts are ready for coating

·         Operating power tools

·         Keeping track of cure times

·         Notifying the shop manager of any supplies we need to order

·         Notifying and trouble shooting any coating issues with shop manager

·         Keeping workspace and machines clean and free of any debris and contaminants

·         Transfer coated items in and out of the oven using a rolling rack or cart

·         Reviewing completed items for quality and transferring them to staging area for customers

 

 

Qualifications, Skills, Abilities

 

·         Secondary school graduate

·         Minimum 2 consecutive years of experience in a powder coating shop an asset

·         Good judgment, initiative, and careful attention to detail are important in this roll

·         Tidy and punctual

·         Energetic, organized and ability to adapt in an ever changing and fast paced atmosphere

·         Ability to work individually and in a team environment

·         Willingness to accept instruction and give feedback

·         Ability to pay attention to the environment and other people working in the shop

·         Demonstrated ability to run a fork lift

Ability to lift up to 50lb occasionally
