<p>Are you a residential master craftsman who thrives on building with your own two hands?</p><p>Oborne Contracting is an award-winning, fast-paced, and highly respected residential renovations company serving the Greater Toronto Area. We are currently seeking skilled, hands-on professionals to join our team as Site Foreman (Lead Carpenter/Project Manager).</p><p>This is not a "clipboard" management job. If you are most comfortable with a tool belt on, leading from the front, and delivering top-quality work, we want to hear from you.</p><p>We are looking for individuals who combine advanced technical ability with leadership skills and a genuine passion for the trades.</p><p>What You Bring to the Table:</p><ul><li>Minimum 10 years' hands-on residential construction experience (Journeyman level or higher)</li><li>Proven ability to perform framing, finishing carpentry, and layout at a high level</li><li>Skilled in reading and interpreting residential drawings, specifications, and building codes</li><li>Strong practical knowledge of structure, framing, building envelopes, and finishing systems</li><li>Experience with a wide range of residential scopes (including plumbing, electrical, drywall, and painting etc.)</li><li>Professional attitude, strong work ethic, and pride in workmanship</li><li>Able to maintain focus and endurance through physically and mentally demanding projects</li><li>Ability to lead by example — working alongside your crew and ensuring quality standards</li><li>Clear communication skills for interacting with homeowners, subcontractors, and inspectors</li><li>A solutions-first mindset when site challenges arise</li></ul><p>Your Day-to-Day Role:</p><ul><li>Layout, framing, demolition, rough-ins, insulation, drywall prep, trim work, and finishings</li><li>Coordinating and directing trades and other staff</li><li>Managing materials, deliveries, and site organization</li><li>Performing detailed quality control inspections</li><li>Maintaining high site safety and cleanliness standards</li><li>Communicating daily with project managers, clients, and office support</li><li>Proactively solving site problems to keep jobs running smoothly</li></ul><p>This is a boots-on-the-ground leadership role.
