Job Description

Position Title: Software Developer (Siebel)

Location: Toronto, Ontario

Work Arrangement: Hybrid / Onsite

  • 4 days onsite and 1 day remote (until January 4, 2026)
  • 5 days onsite starting January 5, 2026
  • Duration: Approximately 120 business days (6 months)
  • Work Hours: 7.25 hours per business day, Monday to Friday (between 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.)


Position Overview

The Software Developer will play a key role in the design, configuration, and development of Siebel-based solutions, along with supporting reporting and integration initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with technical and functional teams to implement, maintain, and enhance enterprise-level applications and ensure seamless system operation and data flow across platforms.


Key Responsibilities

  • Translate technical systems specifications into fully functional, tested applications.
  • Develop detailed programming specifications, write and/or generate code, and conduct unit testing.
  • Resolve and troubleshoot technical problems during application operation and deployment.
  • Provide technical assistance in implementation, conversion, and data migration activities.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Siebel configurations, workflows, and integrations.
  • Create and enhance reporting solutions using OBIEE and Power BI.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Participate in code reviews, design walkthroughs, and quality assurance activities.
  • Provide post-implementation support and documentation as required.


Core Skills and Experience

Siebel Development (40%)

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Siebel technical configuration, design, development, and integration.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience integrating Siebel with systems such as Adobe AEM and J2EE.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Siebel EIM/EAI.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Siebel IP18, focusing on configuration and development.
  • Hands-on experience with Assignment Manager, Business Rules, Workflows, Applets, Views, and related business layer objects.
  • Proficiency with Siebel Tools, Web Templates, and Open UI architecture (Presentation/Physical Models, OOTB structures, and limitations).
  • Skilled in UI integrations (embedding/exposing Siebel applications).
  • Experience configuring Siebel migration applications and administering Siebel Approval Manager.
  • Siebel 8.x or higher certification preferred.


Report Development (35%)

  • Strong experience developing reports and dashboards using OBIEE and Power BI.
  • Proficient in HTML5, CSS, JQuery, and JavaScript.
  • Working knowledge of Siebel Open UI concepts, including PM, PR, Manifest, and Mapping files.


Soft Skills (20%)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and ability to collaborate with both functional and technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Adaptable, resourceful, and self-motivated professional.


Domain Experience (5%)

  • Experience with Siebel modules such as Public Sector CRM, Contracts, Partner Portal, Campaign Management, and eService is an asset.
  • Experience with Grants Management modules or similar business domains is an advantage.


Desirable Skills

  • Experience conducting impact assessments on Oracle E-Business customizations and extensions.
  • Strong programming experience in PL/SQL, SQL, XML, Unix shell scripting, and Oracle Data Integrator.
  • Familiarity with General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Inventory, and Collections modules.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle E-Business Suite table structures and SQL tuning (including partitioned tables).
  • Experience with ETL, data warehousing, and OBIEE methodologies.
  • Exposure to Java and Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF) is an asset.
  • Understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) standards.
  • Ability to prepare user and system documentation as required.


Must-Have Qualifications

10+ years of Siebel configuration, design, development, and integration experience

5+ years of Siebel integration experience (Adobe AEM, J2EE, etc.)

5+ years of Siebel EIM/EAI experience


Nice-to-Have Qualifications

Experience with Grants Management or Public Sector Siebel modules

Oracle E-Business Suite and BI reporting experience
