Our preferred candidate will be at an intermediate to senior level with a P. Eng with a minimum of 10 years' experience. The selected candidate will be working with Lead Engineers and Project Managers and work within a multi-disciplined team designing efficient and reliable residential, industrial and commercial construction projects.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Structural design of building components using a variety of materials including, but not limited to, steel, concrete, wood, masonry.</li><li>Participate in site reviews, respond to RFI's, and manage ongoing projects and team members.</li><li>Coordinate with other engineering and architectural disciplines to facilitate projects.</li><li>Structural analysis of existing building components, subject to revised loading conditions.</li><li>Technical guidance and mentoring of project team members, engineers and technical support staff.</li><li>Participate in business development and proposal preparations. </li><li>Building client relationships.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>A Structural Engineering degree from a recognized university.</li><li>A minimum of 8 years of relevant design experience within Canada.</li><li>A Professional Engineer, P.Eng. designation in Ontario.</li><li>Well-developed knowledge of structural engineering and ability to apply structural engineering techniques commonly used in residential, industrial and commercial construction.</li><li>Knowledge of Canadian CSA codes and standards.</li><li>Experience creating structural engineering designs and drafts using AutoCAD, Revit or an equivalent software tool.</li><li>Understanding of set budgets and deadlines for structural engineering tasks.</li><li>Supervision of drafters, designers, and field reviews.</li><li>Proven ability to communicate effectively and clearly in oral and written formats on complex technical matters, both to technical and non-technical audiences.</li><li>Lead by example and demonstrate hard work and strong business ethics to achieve Ecora's strategy.</li><li>Must possess personal integrity and professionalism and be results oriented.</li><li>Demonstrated record of diligence and attention to detail.</li><li>Self-motivated, eager, takes the initiative and able to operate with minimal supervision.</li><li>Self-confident with a strong personal presence, courage and credibility, willing to take on a challenge, make decisions and present very professionally.</li><li>Flexible and adaptable with a strong sense of team.</li></ul><p><strong>Why Join Ecora</strong></p><ul><li>Be part of a fast-growing, employee-owned firm recognized for technical excellence and community commitment.</li><li>Competitive compensation and benefits package, including:<ul><li>Comprehensive health, vision and dental coverage</li><li>Group RRSP matching program</li><li>Paid vacation and sick leave</li><li>Performance Bonus</li><li>Personal days</li><li>Professional membership reimbursements</li></ul></li><li>Access to our mentorship and professional development programs.</li><li>A welcoming, collaborative company culture with social events and team initiatives.</li></ul><p>Join Ecora where your expertise helps shape resilient communities and sustainable infrastructure.</p><p>If you're ready to advance your career with a dynamic and supportive team, we'd love to hear from you.</p></p></p>Create Your Resume First
