What We Need:


Dynamic sonographer who demonstrates pride in their work, and with the knowledge, skills and judgement can craft high-quality ultrasound images for diagnostic interpretation by the radiologist. This role at our Markham site works within a team responsible for performing a broad scope of diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with established protocols and safety standards, servicing our Emergency Department, Inpatient and Outpatient clients.


What You Bring To The Role:



  • Current registration in good standing with CMRITO

  • Current registration with Sonography Canada or ARDMS

  • Additional Ultrasound subspecialty certificates is preferred (e.g. CRVS, RVT, ARDSM-(BR), (PS), (RMSKS), NT certification)

  • Experience in general ultrasound imaging, gynecologic and obstetrical, small parts, vascular and pediatric imaging is preferred

  • Demonstrated for continuous learning and willingness to expand your subspecialty skill-set to meet the service needs of the department is required

  • Inherent attention to detail and strive for accuracy in data quality when completing clinical documentation and storing images & patient data within the PACS and medical record systems is required

  • Demonstrated initiative, sound judgement and efficiency in the face of competing demands in a fast-paced environment

  • Adaptability to effectively work both independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to deliver timely, patient-centric care

  • Computer and equipment proficiency, preferably in using Meditech EMR, Canon Aplio-series Ultrasound machines and Change Healthcare-OPTUM PACS

  • Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards

  • Demonstrated commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required


Work Schedule:


Rotating day and evening shift as well as weekend shifts as required. Please note schedules may change due to operational needs.


Compensation: OPCOM02


Range: $40.35 - $54.20
