You will support the delivery of ongoing and upcoming water industry projects that keep communities running. This includes all aspects of municipal and industrial planning, modeling, design, and construction based on established standards and software. You will also participate in the development of engineering studies, reports, drawings, specifications, contract documents, proposals, and cost estimates with direction; and provide construction administration services and field engineering services during construction as needed.

What you’ll need
To immediately be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Environmental, Biosystems, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering and/or equivalent experience
- To be licensed (or eligible to be licensed) as an engineering intern or professional engineer in the Province of Manitoba within 6 to 12 months
- To have strong verbal and written communication skills; data analysis skills; organizational skills; and multitasking ability
- Attention to detail, self-motivation, and a demonstrated ability to work independently under supervision of a professional engineer
- 2+ years of progressive engineering experience
- To be familiar with water and wastewater design and technologies, engineering calculations, and modelling
- The ability to read and understand drawings including P&IDs
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
- A Class 5 (intermediate or full) license (or equivalent), and a willingness and ability to travel to project sites inaccessible by public transit
- To be based in Manitoba (or able to relocate to Manitoba within 3 months)
Ideally you’ll also have
- 4+ years of progressive treatment process and/or process mechanical engineering experience working on municipal and industrial water industry projects
- 2+ years working in a consulting engineering environment
- Familiarity with construction-phase engineering services
- Experience delivering design projects on multidisciplinary and multi-office project teams
- Experience with water and/or wastewater process modelling software execution
- A license (or be eligible to be licensed) as a professional engineer in the province of Manitoba
