Working out of our West Edmonton yard, a Yard Construction Worker is responsible for ensuring trailers and camp facilities are maintained, upgraded, setup, and removed from site in a safe and professional manner. The ideal candidate for this role will be a jack-of-all trade with relevant modular and /or construction experience.
Yard Construction Worker Duties:
- General construction repair work of camp trailers
- Ability to troubleshoot (heating / plumbing / electrical) would be an asset
- Operate a loader to place trailers / pallets onto trucks would be an asset
- Pickup parts from suppliers as needed
- Assist with the preparation, setup, and teardown of modular structures
- Other Miscellaneous labour duties as required
Position Requirements:
- Available for a work shift Monday to Friday between 8AM to 4PM with opportunities for overtime during the busy fall / winter season
- This position requires the following:
- Standard First Aid
- CSTS
- Fall Arrest
- Basic PPE
- Due to the safety sensitive nature of our remote sites the ability to pass a pre-access D&A test may be required
- Own tools an asset
- Class 5 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
- Bondable
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Able to lift, move and carry up to 50lbs throughout the work shift
- While this position is based out of Edmonton it may require limited out of town work
- Own transportation required as the work location is not accessible by public transit
