<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p>We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented <b><strong>Part-Time Bookkeeper</strong></b> to manage day-to-day accounting functions and maintain clean, accurate financial records. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently and supporting a growing business with organized, timely financial reporting.</p><p><br /></p><p><b><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></b></p><p><b><strong>Accounts Payable & Receivable</strong></b></p><ul><li>Enter and track vendor bills and customer invoices</li><li>Reconcile supplier statements and follow up on discrepancies</li><li>Monitor receivables and assist with collections when required</li></ul><p><b><strong>Banking & Reconciliations</strong></b></p><ul><li>Complete weekly/monthly bank and credit card reconciliations</li><li>Ensure all transactions are categorized accurately</li></ul><p><b><strong>Payroll Support (if applicable)</strong></b></p><ul><li>Assist with payroll preparation (hours, deductions, submissions)</li><li>Verify that payroll entries align with accounting records</li></ul><p><b><strong>Reporting & Month-End Support</strong></b></p><ul><li>Prepare monthly financial summaries (P&L, balance sheet review prep)</li><li>Maintain organized bookkeeping records for month-end and year-end</li><li>Support external accountant with HST filings and annual tax preparation</li></ul><p><b><strong>General Bookkeeping</strong></b></p><ul><li>Maintain an accurate chart of accounts</li><li>Track and properly allocate expenses across <span >departments/projects</span></li><li>Keep digital receipts and financial documents organized</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><b><strong>Required Skills & Qualifications</strong></b></p><ul><li>2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (small business experience preferred)</li><li>Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online (or similar accounting software)</li><li>Solid understanding of A/R, A/P, reconciliations, and expense tracking</li><li>High attention to detail and accuracy</li><li>Ability to work independently and meet deadlines</li><li>Clear communication and strong professionalism</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><b><strong>Nice-to-Have</strong></b></p><ul><li>Experience with inventory or manufacturing environment</li><li>Experience supporting HST filings or Canadian tax compliance</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><b><strong>Compensation</strong></b></p><ul><li>Competitive hourly rate based on experience</li></ul></p>Company Description<p>Here at Express Employment Professionals, we are large enough to exceed all your needs and expectations, yet small enough to give you the one-on-one attention and customer service you deserve.
