Delivery Driver – Independent Contractor (Hamilton Region)
Medication has become an important part of our everyday lives to combat ailments such as depression, high blood pressure, sleeplessness, diabetes, and more. For customers who are unable to come to the pharmacy to pick up their medication, ScriptRunner ensures that pharmacies and drivers can collaborate through technology to guarantee customers get their prescriptions on time, every time.
We are looking for a reliable independent contractor driver to join the ScriptRunner network. This role starts as part-time with the possibility of moving into a full-time schedule within 6 months. You'll deliver prescriptions to patients across the Hamilton region, playing a key role in supporting healthcare access in your community.
Responsibilities (as an Independent Contractor)
- Safely and efficiently deliver prescription medications to patients.
- Provide excellent customer service and represent ScriptRunner professionally.
- Use the driver mobile application to receive and complete assigned delivery routes.
- Maintain your own vehicle, insurance, and expenses (as this is not an employee role).
Requirements
- A reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, insurance, and registration.
- A smartphone with a data plan (required for the driver app).
- Documentation proving eligibility to work in Canada.
- Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and customer service.
- Backgrounds in security, community work, law enforcement, or related fields are an asset.
Pay & Benefits
- $20/hour base pay + $0.15/km (applies per pharmacy delivery route, from pickup to final drop-off).
- Multiple pharmacies may be assigned during a shift. Travel between pharmacies is not paid, but routes are scheduled efficiently to help maximize earnings.
- Bi-weekly direct deposit.
- Consistent pharmacy delivery work (no waiting for random food orders like Uber/Skip).
- Know your route and stops in advance — reliable scheduling.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday, typically between 11 AM – 6 PM.
- Part-time contract, with potential to expand hours within 6 months.
