We believe in promoting from within, respecting people and their differences, providing high-quality service, and always having fun!</p><p>If you think you have what it takes to join our team, we want to meet you.</p><p></p><strong>Responsibilities</strong><p>As a Security Guard at Loyalist College, you will:</p><ul><li> Greet and interact with staff, students, and visitors politely and professionally. </li><li> Enforce parking by-law regulations on campus. </li><li> Patrol all parking lots at the Loyalist College campus twice per day. </li><li> Issue tickets for unauthorized parking, lack of parking passes, parking in wrong lots, handicap or carpool spaces without permits, fire routes, or grass areas. </li><li> Record all tickets and upload photos at the end of each shift. </li><li> Carry a radio for safety and communication; testify in court when required. </li><li> Ensure all staff, visitors, and vendors follow campus protocols. </li><li> Provide assistance and wayfinding support to staff and students. </li><li> Conduct proactive, consistent patrols of the campus. </li><li> Maintain professionalism and calm during emergencies. </li><li> Write reports, take detailed notes, and monitor surveillance systems. </li><li> Perform additional duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Valid <strong>Security License</strong> for the province of Ontario. </li><li> Valid <strong>First Aid & CPR – Level C</strong> (from a WSIB-approved vendor). </li><li> Must <strong>not</strong> be a current Loyalist College student. </li><li> English fluency (oral and written) required; French considered an asset. </li><li> Legally authorized to work in Canada. </li><li> Previous experience in <strong>security, by-law, or parking enforcement</strong> is an asset. </li><li> Must be able to provide certifications in <strong>Use of Force (UoF)</strong> and <strong>Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)</strong>. </li><ul><li> Applicants without these certifications may attend Paladin’s training program prior to onboarding (2 days in Kingston). </li><li> Training costs are covered by Paladin with a <strong>6-month commitment</strong> to the position. </li></ul></ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><ul><li>Competitive wages ($18.54/hour). </li><li>Overtime pay (ON Averaging Agreement OT over 88 hours). </li><li>Paid Time Off and Health & Dental coverage. </li><li>Vision and growth opportunities. </li><li>On-the-job training and professional development. </li><li>Free uniforms with dry-cleaning & tailoring allowance. </li><li>Security license reimbursement. </li><li>Work today, get paid today — <strong>daily pay available</strong>.</li></ul></p></p>
