<p>We are currently seeking a <b>Outside Plant (OSP) Engineering Team Lead</b> to join our operations in a <b>1-year Contract</b> position.</p>

<h3>Duties & Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Responsible to act as the Lead Designer on various projects that the department is awarded;</li>
<li>Facilitate project plan with those assigned to the projects within the department;</li>
<li>Act as the point of contact for the customer when Division Managers are not available;</li>
<li>Ensure customer is kept informed and any changes are communicated to VistaCare team, including the Director of Engineering;</li>
<li>Monitor scheduling issues and ensure all dates are met for the clients. If any dates become an issue produce a project plan to meet these dates;</li>
<li>Review other employees work and verify proper time frames are kept per project;</li>
<li>Review project timelines with Regional and Division Managers;</li>
<li>Read and interpret fibre network design drawings, and outside plant records (data, maps);</li>
<li>Collaborate with other divisional teams to overcome project challenges and provide optimal solutions;</li>
<li>Special projects as assigned.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Knowledge and Skills</h3>
<ul>
<li>Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure that deadlines are met, with a focus on resolving scheduling issues and developing contingency plan;</li>
<li>Great computer skills and ability to learn new software with ease;</li>
<li>Detail-oriented with good organizational and time-management skills;</li>
<li>Must be able to prioritize as needed, in a deadline-driven environment;</li>
<li>Capability to accommodate the different telecommunications standards established for each client;</li>
<li>Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills;</li>
<li>General understanding of construction documents, drawings, and specifications;</li>
<li>Knowledge of current construction practices is considered an asset;</li>
<li>Highly analytical and proven problem-solving abilities.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Additional Requirements</h3>
<ul>
<li>The successful candidate will be required to pass a criminal record check;</li>
<li>The successful candidate must be authorized to work in Canada.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Experience Required</h3>
<ul>
<li>+ 2 years experience in Telecommunications or Fibre to the Home design;</li>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Diploma of Technology, preferably in Telecommunications, Civil, or Electrical Engineering;</li>
<li>Proficiency in AutoCAD for creating and reviewing telecommunication network designs and construction drawings, including both aerial and underground conduit plans;</li>
<li>Experience in managing and leading design teams, including overseeing project schedules, timelines, and resource allocation.</li>
</ul>
