Job Description

We're hiring  a strategic and hands-on Senior Marketing Specialist, Events & Catering to lead marketing efforts across Oliver & Bonacini's Events & Catering portfolio. From campaign strategy and content planning to on-site event coverage and day-to-day execution, this role is ideal for a creative, self-directed marketer who thrives on ownership and thoughtful execution.

As the dedicated marketing lead for Events & Catering, you'll manage all communications, promotions, and content across key channels. This includes capturing and creating content, managing social media accounts, updating web and digital listings, and executing campaigns end to end.

*This full-time position is based in our downtown Toronto office and requires regular on-site presence at venues, including evenings and weekends.

Marketing & Social Media

  • Lead the strategy and execution of marketing campaigns for Events & Catering, including seasonal promotions, new venue launches, venue spotlights, and menu rollouts
  • Maintain an annual marketing calendar aligned with business goals and Event Sales priorities
  • Manage Events & Catering social media channels end to end, including content planning, creation, publishing, community management, and performance tracking
  • Create and publish social content across all Events & Catering accounts, including corporate channels, individual venues, and new brand launches
  • Update and maintain venue web pages and promotional content across O&B websites
  • Collaborate with the broader Marketing team to ensure Events & Catering campaigns are integrated across all touchpoints
  • Maintain and update internal websites and external listings (e.g., Eventsource, Unique Venues) with accurate, current information

Content Creation & Event Coverage

  • Lead and execute all event coverage for Events & Catering, from premium events and venue launches to ongoing programming and day-to-day activations
  • Work closely with Event Specialists and the Event Sales team to identify content-worthy events and storytelling opportunities
  • Capture on-site, social-first photo and video content at Events & Catering activations
  • Build and maintain a library of imagery and video suitable for websites, digital marketing, and advertising (digital and print)
  • Lead the planning and execution of photo and video shoots, including developing creative briefs, shot lists, and production timelines
  • Coordinate and manage freelance photographers, videographers, or content creators when required
  • Write, edit, and adapt content for social media, websites, digital listings, blog posts, and marketing materials
  • Maintain and organize a comprehensive library of current event, venue, and catering assets

Project Coordination

  • In collaboration with the Marketing team, oversee production and distribution of promotional materials including menu packages, trade show collateral, signage, and printed materials
  • In collaboration with the Marketing team, oversee production and submission of advertising creative (magazine, out-of-home posters, etc.)
  • Coordinate site visits, installations, deliveries, and execution of promotional projects
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure digital listings and venue materials are accurate and up to date
  • Maintain an updated list of vendors and suppliers
  • Coordinate printing logistics, including specifications, quotes, and production timelines
  • Support organization and governance of digital assets for the Events team
  • Track marketing expenses and assist with budget reconciliation and invoice processing

Market Research & Reporting

  • Conduct consumer and competitor research within the events and catering landscape
  • Lead post-campaign reporting and performance analysis
  • Monitor emerging event, hospitality, and social media trends, applying relevant insights to content creation and campaign execution
Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of experience in marketing, communications, or hands-on digital content creation, ideally within hospitality, events, or lifestyle sectors
  • Proven experience leading integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, and print
  • Strong hands-on experience capturing, creating, editing, and publishing content across social and digital platforms
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with a refined understanding of brand voice
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage content creation and work with freelance photographers or creators when needed
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple timelines and priorities
  • Experience with WordPress or other CMS platforms; basic photo, video, or design editing skills are a plus
  • Collaborative, solutions-oriented, and confident working cross-functionally
  • Degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred
  • Evening and weekend availability as needed
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada

  • Salary Range: $60,000-$70,000
