Our client in the public sector is seeking a Senior Business Analyst on a contract basis to work on an Enterprise Work Management System (EWMS) Program focused on IBM Maximo.
Location: Hybrid 3d/week Toronto

Responsibilities
- Lead business analysis activities for the MAS implementation replacing the existing Maximo system.
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, workflows, and solution specifications using BPMN standards.
- Collaborate with divisional SMEs, Program staff, technical teams, and the implementation vendor to translate requirements into system designs and data migration needs.
- Support integrations between Maximo and other enterprise systems and contribute to common enterprise work management standards.
- Conduct process mapping (as-is/to-be), business improvement assessments, and recommend optimal design solutions.
- Prepare documentation including functional requirements, non-functional requirements, use cases, traceability matrices, and data definitions.
- Support QA activities: test planning, test case creation, execution, defect management, and UAT facilitation.
- Assist with procurement-related technical scope documents and support rollout activities including training materials and operational procedures.
- Coordinate workshops, meetings, stakeholder communications, and produce agendas, minutes, decision logs, and status updates.
- Perform project support activities as required by the Project Manager.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of business analysis experience on large-scale IT implementation projects.
- 10+ years technical/functional experience with IBM Maximo (v7 or v8/MAS), ideally in municipal asset management (maintenance, work orders, capital projects, vendor management, mobile, GIS).
- Strong experience documenting requirements, workflows, and as-is/to-be processes using BPMN.
- Extensive background in solution design, integrations, data conversion, testing, and enterprise system rollout.
- Proven ability to identify business improvement opportunities and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Hands-on experience with QA/testing, including planning, test case development, execution, and UAT support (HP ALM an asset).
- Knowledge of modern IT concepts including mobile computing, UX/UI principles, information management, data modelling, BI, and Agile delivery.
- Excellent communication, analytical, facilitation, and documentation skills.
